I was staying in Uganda to work at a research station (NaCRRI) in Namulonge. The location AND the amenities available at Soho really can’t be beaten. Staying in the city is a lousy option because it is so far away. Joe is a fabulous host! He is very friendly, gave me lots of good advice, drove me to the city once so I could see a doctor and even helped me by getting me a bunch of groceries and other supplies for my >3 week stay. Thanks also to Humphrey, who cares for the property and the tenants, for being so extremely helpful! Lastly, thanks to the friendly dogs for hanging out by my porch and keeping me company!

We are a group of three who totally enjoyed the week’s stay at Soho Greens. Beautiful lush green garden, tasteful art on the yard and nicely furnished apartment with wifi, two bedrooms, kitchen and warm shower exceeded our expectations. (Light sleepers might not like the friendly dogs barking in the night yet a pair of ear plugs will sort the problem.) Joe is a perfect host. He collected us from our Entebbe guest house, showed us Kampala and took us to the bus station for our early hour departure to Nairobi. He even got the bus tickets to us since we were too busy with our project in Kyanja. Humprey, the caretaker was also very nice and helpful. The location worked very well for us since our activities were mainly in Kyanja, Ntinda and Masulita village (outside Kampala). There is a public transportation nearby if you need to go to the city. The ATM and major supermarkets are in Ntinda (about 5 km) yet water and other beverages, street food and fruits are sold not far from the place. Thank you so much, Joe! We are already planning to return to Soho Greens!
